Public universities in Iran have been built and accomplished in the style of attitude of architecture, which has paid more attention to the distribution of zones and mechanical functions of a university, and less to the behavior of students and their performance within that space. The University of Guilan is no exception. In the atmosphere of this university, despite its attractive and passionate nature, which has an exemplary breadth and generosity, its type of architecture has a uniform literature that the two categories of passage of time and lack of attention to it have had a double effect on its rigidity and depression.
The “Rambod” charity project was proposed to us by Dr. Pourbahador, whose son, a former student at this university, died in a car accident. He wanted to create a startup space related to computer science, because his child always complained about the lack of this possibility on campus. Since Alireza Taghabani and Majid Jahangiri (designers of Nextoffice) used to study at this university, the architectural and structural design of this project in Nextoffice was done for Corporate Social Responsibility (C.S.R) and free of charge. During the design process, we tested a structure for that location that has a significant contrast with other parts of the complex.
A form and atmosphere that brings energy, joy, and new life back. From an urban point of view, this building was located in the silent and dead part of the university. No-traffic areas around which scrapped cars were left during the site-visit. In order to create such a structure, attention was paid to a point that is of special importance in the north of the country. Attention to the “roof” factor, which in our design, was addressed in a Bulge form.
